Shujog, IIX Asia, and ASSIST Host Workshop for Filipina Micro-Entrepreneurs

In partnership with ASSIST, Singapore-based Shujog and IIX Asia conducted two 1-day workshops on financial literacy for Filipina Entrepreneurs dubbed “A Path for Women Micro-Entrepreneurship” on March 14 and 15, 2013 at the Great Eastern Hotel Aberdeen Court, Quezon City, Philippines.

 

The first workshop welcomed 22 and the second one was attended by 26 women. All participants were reached out through an extensive network of Gawad Kalinga, Rags2Riches, and UPLiFT Foundation Inc.

 

Sponsored by Barclays, the workshop was facilitated by trainers Daryl Capanzana, who works for brand management, digital marketing and communication at IIX Asia and Shujog, and Saskia Werther, who provides financial advisory and business development effort at IIX Asia. The trainers ran a series of presentations on financial management of micro-enterprises, as well as engaged the participants into experience sharing sessions and encouraged networking. Altogether the workshop was interactive and dynamic, and it received a positive feedback from the participants.
