Our Partners

sustainABILITY is a flagship workforce development initiative that equips Filipino workers and Technical-Vocational Institutions with the green skills needed to compete in an evolving economy. With millions of green jobs on the horizon, the program bridges the gap between education and industry — building a pipeline of job-ready talent and fostering the partnerships needed to sustain a thriving green workforce in the Philippines.

What We Are Solving

Green Skills Mismatch in Technical Education

Training institutions are not equipped to prepare the workforce for green economy demands, leaving curricula misaligned with industry needs.

Employment Opportunity Access Gap

Youth are unable to access emerging green jobs despite sectoral growth, partly due to insufficient career guidance within TVIs.

Fragmented Stakeholder Coordination

Weak collaboration between training institutions, employers, and government restricts the development of a sustainable and job-ready green workforce.

The Need

The Philippines is poised for over 5 million green jobs, but skills gaps persist as many Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs) lack capacity. Limited coordination among institutions, employers, and government further restricts access, leaving employers without qualified talent and youth unable to enter fast-growing green economy opportunities.

The Intervention

ASSIST’s sustainABILITY program builds green workforce skills across sectors by strengthening curricula, instructors, and learners. Partnering with TVIs, it delivers industry-aligned training, e-learning certifications, and job pathways, while fostering collaboration among government, institutions, and employers to bridge skills gaps and support a sustainable labor market.

Impact Aligned with Global Goals

Our sustainABILITY program create measurable outcomes that directly contribute to key UN Sustainable Development Goals.
