Agri-Productivity
Smallholder farms are heavily dependent on creating economic value out of their agricultural produce. It is crucial that they employ best practices in boosting yield while diminishing operation costs. ASSIST facilitates technology transfer and intensified training programs in order to ensure good quality of crops brought into the market. Across South and Southeast Asia, we utilize micro-agrometeorological instruments for monitoring granular weather data; eco-sensitive solar drying instruments; and local crop nutrition solutions, among others. We also help improve farmers’ irrigation practices through the use of renewable energy, safeguarding access to reliable water supply, decreasing costs and ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness in water use. Promoting integrated pest management practices while addressing agri-productivity is an area of keen interest.
