START UP CAMPUS in Korea and ASSIST Asia Convene Global Social Start Ups in PH

August 3, 2018

START UP CAMPUS in Pangyo Techno Valley, Korea and Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST), with the support of Benilde’s Hub of Innovation for Inclusion (HiFi), will convene creative minds in the 2018 STARTUP CAMPUS SDG Camp on 13 to 17 September 2018 in Manila, Philippines.

As innovation carries on its relevance in the attainment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDGs), the START UP CAMPUS in Korea serves as a hub to make groundbreaking initiatives come to life. Similarly, ASSIST, as an international development organization geared towards capacity-building, acknowledges that the surging number of social enterprises and start-ups paves the way to innovative and sustainable ideas with the goal of solving social problems while contributing to inclusive impact. With shared views and commitments, both have been working together to make this Camp possible.

The 2018 START UP CAMPUS SDG Camp will be a venue for participants to collaborate with global start-ups and to materialize their ideas through various mentoring and business coaching in the duration of the Camp. The Camp is open to entrepreneurs, ages 18 to 30, in the fields that embody the core of UN-SDGs such as environment, energy, education, health and food.

“The SDG Camp aims to be the event that convenes and discovers more innovations, more projects, and more people that are geared towards the SDGs through their social enterprises and start ups. Through this, we will achieve the collective impact we all aim for.”, shared by Franz Rana, ASSIST Senior Associate for Events and Partnerships. The winning teams will be entitled to cash prizes, an all-expense paid visit at the START UP CAMPUS in Korea, and the opportunity to network with global accelerator partner organizations owned by START UP CAMPUS.

Registration ends on August 5, 2018. For more Camp information and application process, please contact the Camp Secretariat in Manila at [email protected].
