Business Continuity is a management system implemented to mitigate risks in the event of operations disruption and ensure that critical business processes will keep running.
Last March 29, a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) Awareness Session was organized under the RISE Philippines project. ECCI’s Delivery Head, Swapnil Bora supervised the session which was attended by 5 fleet operators, with 21 representatives from their team members learning about the basics of BCMS, strategies in the Business Continuity Plan, and the different ISO standards.
Resiliency Improvement for Seafarers and Seafaring Enterprises or RISE Philippines is a project, initiated by ASSIST in partnership with Philippine Transmarine Carriers (PTC) which seeks to address these gaps in the Philippines’ maritime industry by enhancing the capacity of domestic fleet operators and seafarer communities through training and implementing ISO 22301 and disaster preparedness programs.
