ASSIST visits the Persons with Disabilities Forum and Family Day at the Makati City Hall in Manila on July 19-20, 2013.
The PWD Forum and Family Day were held in celebration of the 35th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week organized by the Makati Social Welfare Department (MSWD). Ryan Barcelo, Officer-in-Charge of the MSWD gave the opening remarks while Marilou B. Pepano, In-Charge, Persons with Disability Welfare Section of the MSWD was the host of the event.
The PWD Forum was attended by the PWD leaders, teachers, barangay officials and other stakeholders. During PWD Family Day the delegates were requested to be in sporty attire because the working committee prepared a lot of games.
