ASSIST provided assistance to Samsung for the implementation of ISO 50001:2001 in Chennai on June 25-26, 2013.
ASSIST supported Samsung in the application of ISO 50001 based energy management systems. The services corresponds the following: gap assessment, trainings and workshops, guidance in preparation of documentation, monitoring of implementation and audits and assessments.
Auditors invited were Hyung Jin Kim, Lead Auditor from UL Management Systems Solutions India and Vincent Wu, Senior Lead Editor from UL DQS as well. ASSIST team members involved are Sathappan, Director, Srinivasan, Senior Consultant, T. Balamurugan, Junior Consultant/Project Coordinator. The project is for the issuance of certificate for ISO 50001:2011 on confirmation of Corrective Action taken.
Auditors conducted the audit for 2 days and have reported a Minor Non-Confirmation and 7 observations recommended for issuance of certification based on corrective action for the reported Non-Confirmation. Samsung Chennai was a great partner and deeply appreciates the cooperation extended to us for providing technical assistance in implementing ISO 50001:2011.
