ASSIST Group Managing Director, Sreenivas Narayanan and AsianNGO Partnership Associate, Nicole Razo attended the Aid & International Development Forum Water Security Summit 2014 in Putrajaya, Malaysia last April 23-24.
AIDF Water Security Summit 2014 is a two-day event held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre which gathered over a hundred delegates including leading experts in water security, international researchers, development agencies, NGOs, UN and private sector organizations. The first day of the summit explored the areas of sustainable water management; sanitation; agricultural water management; and water governance and partnerships, with ASSIST’s Sreenivas Narayanan moderating the panel discussion on ‘Sanitation, Hygiene and Waste Water Management’. The areas of water-related disasters, emergency water management and investment in water security were discussed the following day.
AIDF summits are designed to create a mutual platform to facilitate and encourage sharing industry knowledge and experiences and contribute ideas on how to develop more effective policies to improve conditions in the Asia Pacific region.
