ASSIST concludes LEAP project in Indonesia

ASSIST, represented by Kama Neson Ganeson,Partners and Network Director, together with TÜV NORD and DEG closes off LEAP PPP project in Jakarta on 3 June 2013.

 

Leapfrog towards Efficiency And Progress through Low Carbon Economy Indonesia (LEAP) is a Public Private Partnership Project co-financed by DEG and implemented by ASSIST, TÜV NORD Indonesia. This PPP was commenced from 2011-2013 with a development agenda to establish structural impact on the manufacturing sector by reducing GHG emissions through awareness raising, capacity building and pilot implementation.

 

Participants of the project were major stakeholder groups mostly from the power generation sector. The closing ceremony was graced by speakers and guests from various companies like the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, ASEAN Energy Management Scheme National (AEMAS), Indonesian Business Council for Sustainable Development (IBCSD), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Bayer MaterialScience, and Siemens. Aside from the closing ceremony, the awarding of the two best LEAP implemented companies and the sharing of Bayer MaterialScience took place.
