TÜV Rheinland and ASSIST support Aquaponics farm delivery at the Mu-GK Village

ASSIST Social Actions Manager, Olga Babina, attended the MUtrition Festival Day last March 23, which officially launched the Aquaponics farm in Mu-GK Village in Las Piñas, Metro Manila, Philippines

 

The Mu Sigma Phi Fraternity of the University of the Philippines College of Medicine held a week-long set of events to address Mu-GK community’s long-standing problem on malnutrition and food security. The highlight of MUtrition was the launch of an Aquaponics farm built by Bahay Kubo Organics. The use of Aquaponics technology is a zero-waste, chemical-free, and sustainable method of farming suitable for urban communities. ASSIST along with its longtime partner TÜV Rheinland Philippines, takes pride in being partners of this innovative project.
