ASSIST Regional Director, Karthik Subburaman, traveled to Amsterdam, the Netherlands, to take part in the Global Conference on Sustainability and Reporting organized by Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) at RAI Exhibition and Congress Centre on May 22-24, 2013.
The Conference gathered over 1500 delegates from business, finance, accountancy, consultancy, civil society, government, labor and academia, who were offered to attend a variety of training sessions, workshops and networking opportunities. These sustainability leaders will connect, share knowledge, and collaborate – to accelerate the transition to a sustainable global economy.
On the second day of the conference, the 4th generation of GRI’s Sustainability Reporting Guidelines – G4 – was launched. G4 will provide the common language for organizations all over the world, enabling sustainability reporting to become standard practice.
