Indonesia Medika tops Youth4Asia Health and Hygiene Call

The second installment of the Youth4Asia Solutions Search called for initiatives by the youth and by organizations focusing on the youth across Asia Pacific. This time, solutions working to improve health and access to sanitation in the region and empower communities, women, children and the youth are put on the spotlight.

 

The solutions search for health and hygiene received entries from the Philippines, India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand and Vietnam. These entries were screened and only a total of 10 entries were shortlisted for judging. This shortlist includes the following entries:

 

 

The top 3 winners, namely, Indonesia Medika, Basicshit.org, and Seva Mandir were able to present their project and were awarded during the 7th World Water Forum in Gyeongju, South Korea.
