May 22, 2013

Within the PROTECT (Proper Handling and Testing of Chemical and Toxic Substances) project framework, ASSIST carried out three 3-day Train-the-Trainer (ToT) workshops in Suzhou, Guangzhou and Tianjin (China) January, 2013.

PROTECT is a Public Private Partnership project funded by DEG and implemented by TUV Nord China and ASSIST with the objective to help the manufacturing SMEs and local quality testing laboratories improve their environmental performance.

During the workshops 60 trainers were qualified and will soon commence their own trainings on such EU Directives as RoHS and WEEE. These ToT activities will also be followed by a series of trainings on ISO 14064 and ISO 14001, as well as a launch of an informative web portal.
