ASSIST and Bahay Kubo Organics signed an MoU at the ASSIST Manila Office on July 19, 2013.
The Bahay Kubo Organics (BKO) team composes of three childhood friends, Enzo Pinga, Ryan Aguas, and Maximillian Pascual, with an innovative desire to create social, economic and environmental value in the Philippines. BKO in partnership with ASSIST will be building an Urban Aquaponics Farm to promote sustainable agriculture and livelihoods for urban communities in the Philippines.
ASSIST team, Arnel Go, April Narciso and Nizelle Sy paid a visit to BKO’s pilot farm in Alabang last June 4, 2013. After months of preparations and discussions, ASSIST and BKO finally signed a Memorandum of Understanding. As what BKO said, “hopefully the start of many great things to come!”
