SEID Poster Competition at Chang Rigphel Lower Secondary School in Nepal

As a part of Sustainable & Efficient Industrial Development (SEID) Green Club activities, a poster competition was organized at Chang Rigphel Lower Secondary School in Nepal last March 11.

 

The main objective of the competition was to create awareness among the student community on resource efficiency, waste management and environmental safety. Mr. Nim Gyeltshen, guest speaker from Kuenga Higher Secondary School, gave a short lecture on the importance of saving the environment, using energy efficiently and managing waste properly. The lecture was followed by the competition wherein students were provided with drawing materials. About 35 Green Club members attended the event.

SEID is a 4-year project funded and supported by the European Union under the Switch Asia Programme. The project targets the Tourism and Agro Based Industries of Nepal and Bhutan.
