The Need
The tourism industry is one of the most dynamic and people-driven sectors in the world — yet many Filipino students who dream of careers in travel and hospitality graduate without the real-world exposure, mentorship, or professional skills to break in. In public schools and universities across Metro Manila, talented youth with a passion for tourism find themselves underprepared for an industry that demands excellence from day one. The pipeline of future tourism professionals exists — it just needs the right support to move forward.
The Intervention
The program integrates skills development, educator capacity building, and industry-linked career support. It equips tertiary-level students with customer service, leadership, and sustainability skills through ASSIST’s Success360 Toolkit and the expertise of VFS Global professionals, certifies teachers as Success360 Champions to sustain the program’s impact beyond the workshops, and connects students to real career pathways through career talks, mock interviews, and office tours — turning abstract ambitions into concrete opportunities and strong candidates for employment in the tourism sector.
