After two years, the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines has illustrated the fragile state of our public health and economy. During these times, our country has faced several variant outbreaks and institutional lapses that have also impacted the stability of our social and economic systems.

Despite these adversities, frontliners have proved their strength and resilience in handling and leading the forefront of the country’s COVID-19 response. COVID-19 frontliners are essential workers who conduct a range of operations and services in industries that are vital to ensure the continuity of certain functions of society amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Being a frontliner means putting yourself at risk at the expense of everyone’s safety and recovery. It has become a daily and primary conduct to protect everyone from the virus. For the sake of everyone’s awareness, their lives are worth sharing and admiring.

Ten Photos to Shake the World invites you to join this photo competition appreciating our frontliners during the COVID-19 pandemic. Professional and Non-professional photographers in the Philippines are welcome to join, even our frontliners are welcome too! Deadline of the competition is on May 31, 2022.
