Job Background

The  Senior Associate for Sales will be a proactive, target-driven, and self-motivated go-getter with a passion for development and relevant experience in process and program management. The role will work as a part of ASSIST’s Business Development/Acquisitions team to initiate, negotiate, and acquire social impact programs that are developed in partnership with key stakeholders.

The Senior Associate for Sales will be reporting to the Office of the Managing Director and shall coordinate with the Project Management Office and Communication & Visibility Team.


  • Conduct market research and identify potential clients and donors
  • Pursue and cultivate key partnership opportunities with various local and international stakeholders, and maintain existing relationships with current clients
  • Create new business opportunities by presenting our capabilities, expertise, and experience in achieving social impact (Services and Original Social Actions)
  • Achieve the above through activities including presenting, negotiating, contracting, and reporting in accordance with our client/donor requirements
  • Establish linkages with beneficiary groups and community partners to facilitate effective implementation by the project team
  • Support the conceptualization and implementation of the business development strategy with the team
  • Attend and represent the organization at online and offline meetings, events, and conferences to grow the brand recognition and awareness of ASSIST


Secondary and Cross-Cutting Responsibilities

  • Liaise with project teams to ensure proper updating of clients and partners
  • Collaborate with Communication & Visibility team to develop and disseminate marketing and sales assets, as well as plan and implement marketing initiatives as needed
  • Collate and maintain information of key contacts in the CRM database (HubSpot, Zoho, etc.)
  • Manage, track, and report on the status of business development initiatives to meet set targets



  • Educational attainment of at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Sales, Marketing, or other similar courses
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ relevant work experience in business development or similar fields, preferably in the nonprofit or civil society sector
  • Keen interest in development work and being part of creating sustainable impact
  • Must possess a learning mindset and a drive for seeking better interventions for the vulnerable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with a creative bent and commercial awareness
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, with a proficiency in negotiating
  • Strong organizational skills, particularly in attention to detail, time management, and coordination of multiple clients simultaneously
  • Highly professional attitude, responsible, independent, able to work in fast-paced environments and meet urgent deadlines
  • Adept at analyzing, breaking down, organizing, and articulating complex ideas, concepts, and instructions in written and verbal mediums
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and other relevant software
