Job Background

We are looking for a full-time RESEARCH ASSOCIATE to be part of AsianNGO.

AsianNGO is the first and only platform for Asia’s social sector and was initiated to address the three main issues that NGOs face today: finding funds, partners, and relevant learning resources for better management. As the social enterprise venture of the Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST), it is the prime source of information on grants and funding opportunities, learning tools and knowledge resources, partnerships, news, events, and policy updates in the development sector across Asia. 



  • Conduct market research and identify potential clients and donors
  • Pursue and cultivate key partnership opportunities with various local and international stakeholders, and maintain existing relationships with current clients
  • Establish linkages with beneficiary groups and community partners to facilitate effective implementation by the project team
  • Liaise with project teams to ensure proper updating of clients and partners
  • Collaborate with Communication & Visibility team to develop and disseminate marketing and sales assets, as well as plan and implement marketing initiatives as needed
  • Collate and maintain information of key contacts in the CRM database (HubSpot, Zoho, etc.)



  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in research, analysis, political science, political economy, international relations, or related course
  • At least one year of experience in research, particularly online research, and technical writing and analysis
  • Experience in working for the development sector, especially conducting research on funding opportunities and performing technical writing and analysis, a distinct advantage
  • Proficiency in research, particularly online research
  • Expertise in technical writing and analysis
  • Creative and innovative, an out-of-the-box thinker
  • A self-starter and is able to work collaboratively and independently
  • Highly professional attitude, responsible, independent, able to work in fast-paced environments and meet urgent deadlines
