Job Background

A specialized unit of ASSIST Development Solutions, ASSIST Creative Lab, caters to the unique and varied communication, visibility and knowledge management needs of actors and interventions in the development sector. Driven by passion for sustainable development, our team thrives in communicating complex and challenging issues in considered and creative ways, connecting policy makers, stakeholders and communities. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, passionate and experienced e-Learning developer. The role would entail crafting multimedia and e-Learning needs of ASSIST and its stakeholders including UN agencies, international NGOs, and sustainable brands among others. The role will report to the Creative Director and will work closely with peers that specialize in other strands of multimedia development.


  • Analyze instructions, in the form of a storyboard or prototype, from the Instructional Designer and accurately convert them into e-Learning modules and/or videos;
  • Perform edits to graphics (static and dynamic);
  • Use an authoring tool such Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate or Adapt Framework to create dynamic and interactive e-Learning content and assessments;
  • Use audio software such as Adobe Audition or Audacity to record, edit, and refine audio for the e-Learning module Use MS Office software (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) and Acrobat Reader for project documentation;
  • Create, test and manage courses in a Learning Management System Test and modify e-Learning content and LMS settings to ensure compatibility;
  • Review and edit work per testing phase;
  • Collaborate with other members of the development team and provide productive feedback to peers;
  • Plan and build high-quality, engaging e-Learning experiences using graphic design, imagery, animations, interactivity, and sound;
  • Create, or edit provided screen recordings, such as software demonstrations;
  • Must be in-line with fast and dynamic development standards as per the industry’s benchmarks.


  • Two-three years of experience creating e-Learning modules using Articulate Rise, Storyline, Captivate, Elucidat, Adapt or any other authoring tool. Working/basic knowledge of web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, and Javascript;
  • Have excellent English reading and writing skills;
  • Must be willing to adjust work schedule when needed skills in audio and video editing as well as experience using screen recording tools such as Adobe Applications (Premier and After Effects), TechSmith Camtasia etc.;
  • High-level understanding and working knowledge of the functioning of Learning Management Systems such as Moo, Blackboard, and Litmus;
  • Experience working in an educational/corporate training environment;
  • Understanding of technology-enabled learning, educational theory and Instructional Design
