Eligibility
1. The contest is open to all Philippine citizens who are at least 18 years old by February 1, 2017.
2. Professional and Amateur photographers are eligible to join the competition.
3. There will be two categories – Professional and Amateur. Entrants are classified as “Professional” if 50-100% of their income is earned from photography. People who get less than 50% of their income or who do not get earnings from photography qualify as “Amateur”.
4. Participation in the competition is FREE.
5. Employees of ASSIST, their affiliates, as well as their respective relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity and affinity are not eligible to participate in the competition.

C. Medicine
- Use of technology in curing diseases
- Use of technology to mobilize PWDs
- Use of technology in improving healthcare
FORMAT & GUIDELINES
- Entries must be original. They should not have been previously submitted to any other competitions owned by other entities, and not subject to any copyright issues.
- All photos must be taken in the Philippines.
- Entries should not reference any person, group, or organization without their consent. By submitting entries, participants guarantee that all necessary permissions were acquired.
- Entries should not bear watermarks, signatures, frames or other markings (e.g. date/time stamps, etc.).
- Digital manipulation is not allowed, except for basic post-processing enhancements such as contrast, color balance, sharpening, cropping, dodging, and burning adjustments.
- Each participant may submit up to three (3) entries. These entries must be submitted in digital format (.jpeg or .jpg) on or before midnight of February 1, 2017 (Philippines Standard Time).
- Entries must be not smaller than three (3) Mb and not larger than ten (10) Mb each. The minimum allowed resolution is 300 dpi.
- Entries must be submitted along with the completed registration form, which can be downloaded fromhttp://assistasia.org/TPSWPH2017/.
Each entry should have an English title and a two (2) to four (4) sentence description in English of what is in the frame and how it is relevant to the contest theme.
- The registration form is in PDF format and can be filled out electronically or manually (print & scan) and e-mailed to [email protected] via Wetransfer along with the photographs.
- Submitted entries should follow the file name format as specified below:

Example: Juan Santiago submitting three (3) entries should name them as follows:

- ASSIST does not bear any liability over delayed, corrupt or lost entries.

Selection of Winning Entries
1. Two (2) winners will be selected by a panel of independent judges according to the following criteria:
a. Relevance to the theme
b. Strengthen of the Message the Photo Conveys
c. Visual Appeal
d. Composition and Clarity

2. The winners will be notified by e-mail and phone (through the address and phone number indicated by the participant on the entry form) within a maximum period of one (1) month after the end of the contest.
3. The organizers reserve the right to introduce special awards and prizes, or otherwise recognize photographs not included in the top entries.
4. Entries will be promoted in platforms such as the Digibayanihan & ASSIST websites and the networks of ASSIST and AsianNGO.
Claiming Prizes
1. Winners will receive an e-mail and a call (through the address and phone number indicated by the participant on the registration form) within a maximum period of one (1) month after the end of the contest. They will be informed of the next steps.
2. The prize money can either be transferred to the bank account specified by the winners, or be picked up personally in the organizer‘s office. Prizes can only be claimed until February 28, 2017. Failure to do so will be considered a forfeiture of the prize.
3. In claiming the prize money, winners have to submit the following for verification, either by e-mail or in person:
- A valid government-issued ID containing the full name and the photo of the winner; and,
- A copy of the e-mail announcement of the winners.
4. By submitting their entries, participants agree to fully comply with the above Mechanics and Terms and Conditions of ‘Ten Photos to Shake the World’ Photo Competition, organized by Asia Society for Social Improvement & Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST):
Terms and Conditions
ASSIST and its Partner Organizations have sole and absolute discretion to determine which submission entries, if any, merit an award. ASSIST and its Partner Organizations reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to change, modify, extend or reduce the terms and conditions of, or to suspend or terminate, the competition and/or Awarding Ceremony without prior notice. ASSIST will endeavor to inform participants of any such change, modification, extension, reduction, suspension or termination, as the case may be, through any media outlet deemed appropriate by ASSIST in its sole and absolute discretion.
ASSIST further reserves the right to nullify and/or cancel any part or all of the competition if it appears that any fraud or malfunctions have occurred in any form whatsoever. Each participant undertakes to indemnify and keep ASSIST harmless from and against any loss, damage, claims, costs and expenses which may be incurred by or asserted against ASSIST as a result of such participant's participation in the competition.
ENTRANTS RETAIN OWNERSHIP AND ALL OTHER RIGHTS TO FUTURE USE OF THEIR PHOTOGRAPHS. At the same time, participation in the competition and submission of photographs grants ASSIST and its partners, a royalty-free and unlimited in time right to use photographs with due credentials in ASSIST’s print and digital collaterals, exhibitions, events, and other public venues.
